Frequently Asked Questions

Order Information

Factors contributing to the price of your glass creation are size, number of pieces, and types of glass.

How do we choose a pattern for our window?

You can send me photos of your ideas or tell me what you are interested in. A $50 nonrefundable drawing fee is required in advance to be applied to your finished window. This indicates a commitment to the project on your part. Based on our conversation, I will submit 3 drawings to choose from. From there any adjustments are made until you are completely satisfied and OK the drawing. Then we proceed to the glass selection.

How does that work?

I can email you different glass selections, or if you choose, I can send you small samples in the mail with corresponding numbers to my samples. All glass selections are based on availability. There are several glass manufacturers and in most cases your selection can be matched. When you have settled on the colors of glass, we proceed with the window. At that time, I require a 50% deposit and the remaining balance upon delivery.

How do we measure the opening?

Measure the exact width and length in three equal places, at the top, the middle and the bottom going down and the top left, center, and right across. I will take the necessary allowances. If the window is an unusual shape, make a template from a firm paper, i.e., vellum or butcher paper usually purchased from an art store.

How do you send the window or free hanging piece?

I float the piece in a box within a box firmly packed with bubble wrap and/or peanuts by UPS. If the window is a substantial size, three feet of more, I have a freight company who specializes in unusual shipments. They pick them up, pack them and insure them. The cost of freight is part of the final bill.

I would be pleased to answer any additional questions you may have. Please contact me by phone or email.
